Q. What Can I Expect in a Prana Studio Yoga Class?

A. You can expect:

  • Gentle, beginner, and advanced beginner level classes
  • Clear, easy to follow instruction, appropriate for the person with no previous experience
  • Suitable for Men and Women, of any age or fitness level
  • Classes begin with warm-up movements and breath awareness to prepare you for yoga postures. The heart of each class is a sequence of postures that stretch, strengthen, and balance your body.  Each class ends with deep relaxation and meditation.
  • Classes can be bite-sized, individualised, private/semi-private to fit your schedule

 

Q. How Do I Prepare for Class / What Do I Need to Bring to Class?

Arrive Early: Aim to arrive at least 5 minutes before your session is due to begin to allow for sharing any preferences, concerns, illnesses or health conditions with the teacher that you feel they should know about.

Bring a Yoga Mat: If you do not own a mat we do have mats to rent for $1. 

Personal Items: We provide a small area for your belongings. Please remove shoes at the door and turn off any electronics before class. Consider removing large jewelry that may distract your practice.

Clothing: Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement. Please note that we practice in a room that is not heated but there is air conditioning.

Water: You may bring a water bottle and water is also provided. 

Towel: Please bring a small towel as we do not supply towels. 

Props: We provide blocks, blankets, straps, and bolsters.
